These types of products get a lot of traffic, but the conversion rates are traditionally low. Due to the nature of the business, mainstream advertising networks like Google and Facebook don’t allow advertising for these types of products.
As a result, they focused a lot on 3rd party media. But these campaigns only got a 0.35% conversion rate.
The Plan
Before working together, the client was targeting multiple different audiences with the same offer. The plan was to create contextual experience for each audience.
The Implementation
We then tested those angles in ads and created contextual experiences for each audience. Major changes were made to the landing pages and were optimized for conversion.
And we also changed the copy on the landing pages to add more context, benefits, and stories”
Final Results
Increased conversion rate with 400%+ (from 0.35% to 1.45%)
Increased opt-in rates from 3% to 8%
Generated monthly revenue between $50k-$70k for 14 consecutive months

The process to make the landing page convert better was done by the book and we tested every element to make sure we found the winning formula.
As crazy as it may sound, the version with two offers converted 23% better than only having the sign-up button for 20% off.
